This five-day workshop is designed specifically for local music students with basic instrumental skills. The primary goal is to provide a unique opportunity for Telluride kids to experience a concentrated music program designed to expose them to a variety of benefits related to music education.

The objectives of this camp are to:
1. Help develop basic jazz music skills individually and in a group.
2. Develop understanding for the overall benefits of music education.
3. Expose local students to professional international jazz musicians.
4. Provide the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience.
5. Enhance the goals and objectives of the local music education curriculum.

The Telluride Winter Jazz Camp, Artists in the Schools, and the Telluride National Student All-Stars programs are supported by Raynier Institute & Foundation, Telluride Commission on Arts and Special Events, the Telluride Foundation, Just for Kids Foundation, and anonymous donors.
